My Investment Thesis
I invest in partnerships and ventures with my time and/or capital as resources. I am drawn to areas where intentional technical progress meets human and planetary need. I look for founders with conviction who build because they must, those who serve as operators rather than armchair theorists. I value diverse perspectives and unconventional paths; new ideas rarely come from consensus. The best relationships are symbiotic, with shared trust, shared risk, and shared upside.
Aerospace
Resilient communications, launch systems, and dual-use technologies that extend reach and open markets beyond traditional A&D. I appreciate systems that do well in extreme environments, can help us learn more about our physical universe, and make humanity a good steward of orbit.
Energy and Infrastructure
Making the thing that makes the thing. Truly renewable energy generation, storage, and grid resilience. The bones of civilization that will help facilitate thriving in the 21st century. Technology that enables us to be agents of responsible tenancy on Earth and beyond.
Advanced Materials
This area sits true to my heart, a direct result of my Ph.D. work. Breakthroughs in metallurgy, composites, biomaterials, substrates, robotics, manufacturing, etc. that can help shape the future in a world fundamentally limited by the performance of physical space.
Consumer Health & Wellness
At the individual scale, health is wealth, and the frontier is performance and longevity. From wearables to nutrition to accessible bloodwork, I’m excited about platforms that make people’s lives longer, stronger, and more intentional.
Blockchain
Transparent and efficient systems in finance and real estate. Not memecoin and Bored Ape hype, but infrastructure that removes opacity and cost and decentralizes the flow of capital away from megainstitutions and into the hands of people.
What I Avoid
I am not interested in consumer gimmicks or business models that monetize distraction. I don’t underwrite products designed to commoditize attention rather than create timeless value. I avoid industries that strip people of agency in favor of centralized dependence.
I am less interested in hot markets than in long-arc foundational principles. I believe that the best founders are operators with skin in the game. Impactful companies have a clear reason to exist, compound leverage over time, and stay grounded in reality as they build toward a future of widespread prosperity.
My role is to underwrite that future and work alongside innovators with discipline, curiosity, and respect for both risk and potential.
